TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior forward Sam Osorio has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Osorio netted a career-high 23 points to lead the Greyhounds to an 80-52 victory over rival Muhlenberg College in non-conference action in the Hounds' only contest last week. She also had 13 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and seventh of her career to go with a pair of blocked shots. Osorio was 11-for-18 from the field and 1-for-2 at the foul line while playing 23 minutes in the game.

"Sam had a terrific game against Muhlenberg," commented Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk. "It was a much welcomed and needed boost to her confidence and the teams' confidence to get the win over Muhlenberg. Sam has stepped up her game over the past few weeks and this recognition is a sign of that improvement and work ethic. Congratulations to Sam."

Moravian, which is 4-5 overall and 0-1 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to the court on Saturday, December 17 in a non-conference contest at Lebanon Valley College tipping off at 2:00 p.m.
