Moravian Wins One Event & Posts Four AARTFC Marks in Season Opening Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's track & field team had four All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks and won one event in the season opening Fast Times Before Finals at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse Friday and Saturday.

Event Winners

  • Junior Lexi Groff won the high jump at an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying height and personal best of 1.65 meters (5-5), which is tied for second in program history

Top 10 Finishes

  • Senior Helen Davis was the runner-up in the 60-meter dash finals in an AARTFC qualifying time of 7.86 seconds. Davis tied her PR in the event and tied the seventh fastest time in school history. Senior Crystal Robinson took fourth in an AARTFC qualifying time 8.09 seconds while sophomore Abby Giamoni finished seventh in 8.23 seconds after a time of 8.21 seconds in the preliminaries
  • Robinson placed second in the 200-meter dash in an AARTFC qualifying mark of 26.22 seconds while Davis captured sixth in 26.79 seconds
  • Sophomore Bella DeMassa finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdle finals in a time of 10.77 seconds after running 10.72 seconds in the preliminaries while sophomore Ashley Rodrigues took fifth in the finals in 11.12 seconds
  • Freshman Kate Rice was fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:29.58
  • Freshman Shai Knight placed tenth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:05.26
  • Sophomore Caillie Fish placed third in the 20-pound weight throw on Friday with a PR toss of 13.04 meters (42-9.5). Senior Maddie Wickel was eighth in the event at 12.59 meters (41-3.75), and she was followed by sophomore Arin Peykar in ninth with a mark of 11.99 meters (39-4) and sophomore Liz Miskovsky in tenth at 11.96 meters (39-3)
  • Freshman Margie Rayne took second in the shot put with a toss of 10.76 meters (35-3.75) while freshman Karalyn Vashey as third at 10.60 meters (34-9.5) and Peykar was fourth at an indoor PR distance of 10.57 meters (34-8.25). Fish finished eighth at 9.70 meters (31-10) while Miskovsky was ninth at a PR of 9.65 meters (31-8)
