TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Ali Haefele has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Haefele won the triple jump with a distance of 9.98 meters (32-9) at the Franklin & Marshall College Mini-Dip Invitational last Friday on her fourth attempt of the competition. She also placed third in the high jump at a height of 1.50 meters (4-11).

"Ali has been really consistent in her triple jump all winter, so we're not surprised that she was around 10.0m again," noted Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann. However, it's really exciting to see her rewarded for her consistency with her first collegiate win. With the high jump, there have been a number of things ultimately contributing to her confidence including getting some new spikes so she can trust her approach more. We feel she has a great shot at the 1.55 bar before indoors is done and then to keep going up from there this spring."

The Hounds are slated to return to action at the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College on Saturday, February 4 and the Dick DeSchriver Invitational at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania on Sunday, February 5.
