Six Softball Players Ranked in First NCAA Division III Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Six Moravian College softball players are ranked in the first NCAA Division III softball national statistics released on Tuesday.

Sophomore Elizabeth Tillou is tied for 71st in the country with three victories, and she is tied for 12th with two shutouts. Tillou is 3-0 this spring with a 0.90 ERA in 23.1 innings pitched.

Senior pitcher/first baseman Jenna Carmon is tied for 14th with one shutout, and she's tied for 55th with one triple. Carmon is 2-3 with a 1.66 ERA in 25.1 innings pitched. She is batting 5-for-20 with seven runs scored, one home run, one triple, one double and four RBIs.

Freshman outfielder Lizzie Mack ranks fifth in the NCAA with 0.63 sacrifice hits per game. She has five sacrifice hits this year to go with her .278 batting average.

Sophomore catcher Cassie Ernst has been tough this year after getting hit by a pitch 0.44 times per game, which ranks her 18th in Division III. Ernst has been hit four times to go with her five runs scored and one RBI.

Junior infielder Shannen Mohr and sophomore catcher/outfielder Taylor Mihalik are tied for 55th with one triple this season. Mohr leads the Greyhounds with a .360 batting average and nine RBIs to go with her four runs scored, three doubles and one home run. Mihalik has seven hits, seven RBIs, four runs scored and one home run.

Moravian returns to action Saturday, March 17th as they travel to Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna University for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
