Softball Finishes Season Ranked 24th in NFCA Top 25 Poll

STARKVILLE, MS --- The Moravian College softball team jumped into the 24th spot in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll for 2012 released Wednesday.

Pacific Lutheran received eight first-place votes and holds down the top spot with 200 points after winnings the NCAA Division III National Softball Championship. Linfield finished second in the poll with 192 points while Montclair State was third with 180 points. Tufts is fourth with 170 points and Luther rounds out the top five with 165 points.

The Greyhounds rank 24th in the poll, and finished with 20 points.

Moravian finished its season 35-11 while capturing its 13th straight conference title. The Greyhounds made it to the NCAA Division III Tournament, but fell one game short of the regional championship.
