Four Softball Players Rank in the Latest NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Four Moravian College softball players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior pitcher / first baseman Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) is ranked 15th in the nation with seven shutouts, 26th with 17 victories, 33rd with a 1.46 ERA and 78th with 6.06 hits allowed per seven innings. On the year, Carmon is 17-5 with a 1.46 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 129.1 innings pitched. At the plate, she is hitting .378 with 31 runs, 22 RBIs and eight doubles.

Freshman infielder Jenn Dalickas (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights) is ranked 21st in the country with 0.27 home runs per game, 25th with nine home runs and 66th with a .752 slugging percentage. This spring, Dalickas is hitting .366 with 34 RBIs, 19 runs, ten doubles and nine home runs.

Sophomore catcher Cassie Ernst (Annville, PA/Annville-Cleona) ranks 11th in Division III after getting hit by a pitch 0.3 times per game. On the season, Ernst has been hit by a pitch 11 times while batting .416 with 33 runs, 29 RBIs, seven doubles and six home runs.

Freshman outfielder Dior George (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) is ranked 60th in the country with 0.55 stolen bases per game. George has 21 stolen bases this season to go with her .417 batting average, 40 runs scored, 19 RBIs and 14 doubles.

As a team, the Greyhounds are ranked fifth in doubles per game (2.13), 19th in slugging percentage (.510), 28th in ERA (1.85), 31st in batting average (.342), 33rd in win-loss percentage (.763), 34th in home runs per game (0.71) and 37th in runs per game (6.6).

Moravian returns to action on Friday, May 4th as they take on the University of Scranton in the Landmark Conference Tournament. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Susquehanna University.
