Freshman Dior George Named Landmark Player of the Week

MADISON, N.J. – Freshman outfielder Dior George of the Moravian College softball team was named Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week for the week of April 16th.

George paced the Greyhound offensive attack during a 5-1 week. She hit safely in five of the six games, including four multi-hit games, finishing the week with a .550 average (11-for-20). George had three doubles, and scored seven runs, and two of the hits came in a win over Landmark foe Scranton. She also drew five walks for the week, giving her a .640 on-base percentage and added five stolen bases.

On the season, George is batting .400 (40-for-100) to go with her 16 RBIs and team-high 28 runs, 18 stolen bases, 12 walks and 11 doubles.

Moravian returns to action on Tuesday, April 17th for a non-conference doubleheader against DeSales University. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Blue & Grey Field.
