Carmon & Dalickas Named Conference Players of the Week

MADISON, N.J. – Senior pitcher Jenna Carmon and freshman designated hitter Jenn Dalickas of the Moravian College softball team were named Landmark Conference Players of the Week for the week of May 7th.

Carmon earned pitcher of the week after appearing in all three victories for the Greyhounds as they won the 2012 Landmark Conference Championship. She earned a win in two of the three games, and collected a save in the third contest. Carmon allowed only one earned run in 13 innings pitched over the postseason, tossing a complete-game shutout in the final win over Susquehanna. She also went seven innings allowing one earned run in a win over Scranton, and came in with the winning run on base to record a three out save in another win over Susquehanna. Carmon fanned five and allowed nine hits in 13 innings. On the season, she is 19-5 with a 1.38 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 142.1 innings pitched. At the plate, Carmon is hitting .371 with 34 runs, 24 RBIs, and eight doubles.

Dalickas was named hitter of the week after leading the Moravian offense by hitting .429 with a .600 on-base percentage over three games. She knocked out three hits in seven at-bats with two walks. Two of the hits were doubles as she drove in three runs and scored one, including driving in three runs in the final game of the postseason. On the season, Dalickas is batting .370 with 20 runs, 12 doubles and a team-high nine home runs and 37 RBIs.

The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, May 10th when they take on Centenary (NJ) College for a first round matchup in the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. in Union, NJ.
