Three Softball Players are Ranked in the Latest NCAA DIII Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College softball players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior pitcher/first baseman Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) is ranked in three different categories. She is tied for 44th in walks allowed per nine innings (1.13), 50th with a 1.74 ERA and tied for 69th with nine victories. On the season, Carmon is 9-4 with a 1.74 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 80.1 innings. She is also batting .385 (25-for-65) from the plate to go with her 23 runs and 15 RBIs.

Sophomore catcher Cassie Ernst (Annville, PA/Annville-Cleona) has been tough this spring, ranking sixth in the nation after getting hit by a pitch 0.36 times per game. She has been hit by a pitch nine times this season. This year, Ernst has a team-high .406 (28-for-69) batting average to go with her 18 runs, 17 RBIs and three home runs.

Freshman infielder Jenn Dalickas (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights) is tied for 54th with two sacrifice flies this season. This spring, Dalickas is batting .361 (26-for-72) from the plate to go with her 12 runs, seven doubles and team-best four home run and 19 RBIs.

As a team, the Greyhounds are ranked in four different categories. Moravian is tied for 36th in home runs per game (0.65), tied for 37th with 1.88 doubles per game, 43rd in earned run average (1.93) and tied for 49th with a .731 win-loss percentage.

Softball returns to action on Thursday, April 12th for a non-conference doubleheader against rival Muhlenberg College. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
