MADISON, N.J. – Senior pitcher Jenna Carmon of the Moravian College softball team earned the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week. Carmon also earned this honor for the week of March 5th.
Carmon pitched the Greyhounds to pair of wins as part of a 4-0 week for Moravian. She went seven innings in both games with a complete-game shutout allowing four hits with eight strikeouts in a win over Kean. She allowed just one earned run with seven strikeouts on five hits in a win over Hunter. She struck out 15 in 14 innings, finishing with 0.50 ERA for the week with a 2-0 record. Carmon batted .400 (4-for-10) on the week with three runs, two RBIs and a double.
On the season, Carmon is 8-4 with two shutouts. She has a 1.72 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 73.1 innings. Carmon is batting .383 (23-for-60) at the plate to go with her 14 RBIs, five doubles, one triple, one home run and team-high 21 runs scored.
Moravian returns to action today, April 9th as they travel to Delaware Valley College for a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
