Four Softball Players Ranked in Latest NCAA Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Four softball players of the Moravian College softball team are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior pitcher/first baseman Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) is ranked in four different categories. She ranks 45th in walks allowed per seven innings at 1.06, tied for 51st with four shutouts, 53rd in earned run average at 1.67 and tied for 67th with 11 victories. After yesterday's start, Carmon is 12-5 with a 1.55 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 99.1 innings.

Freshman outfielder Dior George (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) is tied for 48th in the country with 0.6 stolen bases per game and tied for 71st with 0.37 doubles per game. After yesterday's doubleheader, George is batting .402 with 19 stolen bases, 11 doubles, 31 runs and 16 RBIs.

Sophomore catcher Cassie Ernst (Annville, PA/Annville-Cleona) ranks eighth in the nation after getting hit by a pitch 0.34 times per game. On the season, Ernst has been hit by a pitch 11 times while batting .390 to go with her 25 runs, 21 RBIs and four home runs.

Freshman infielder Jenn Dalickas (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights) is tied for 91st with two sacrifice flies this spring. She is batting .381 to go with her 15 runs scored and team-high six home runs and 28 RBIs.

As a team, the Greyhounds are ranked in five different categories. They are ranked 13th in doubles per game (2.1), 34th in ERA (1.87), tied for 42nd in win-loss percentage (.733), 44th in slugging percentage (.484), and tied for 45th in home runs per game (0.63).

Moravian returns to action Thursday, April 19th for a non-conference doubleheader versus Ramapo College of New Jersey. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Blue & Grey Field.
