TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore pitcher Madi Cunningham has been honored as the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.
Cunningham improved to 4-2 in the circle with a complete game, 6-2 win for the Hounds as they swept Ursinus College to start the 2023 home season. Cunningham allowed a pair of unearned runs on two hits, and she struck out four batters while walking none. At the plate, Cunningham drew a walk, was hit by a pitch and scored a run in four plate appearances.
"Madi pitched a good game in our home opener last week against Ursinus," stated Head Coach Josh Baltz. "She had excellent control and placement on her pitches on a windy afternoon. We're looking forward to seeing Madi continue her success in the circle as we compete through the remainder of the season.
The Greyhounds, who are 9-3 overall, as scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 21 in a non-conference doubleheader versus Lebanon Valley College beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field in Bethlehem.
