Greyhound Softball to Begin Baltz Era on February 26 in Florida

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University softball squad is scheduled to begin its 2023 season, the first under new Head Coach Josh Baltz, on Sunday, February 26 with a pair of contests in the PFX Spring Games in Florida.

The Greyhounds have a total of 10 games at the DiamondPlex in Winter Haven, Florida including matchups with Adrian (Michigan) College and Chatham College on February 26. The reminder of the trip has the Blue & Grey facing Calvin (Michigan) College and the University of Dubuque (Iowa) on February 27, Saint Mary's (Minnesota) University and Neumann University on February 28, Bridgewater (Virginia) College and Eastern University on March 2 and Wartburg (Iowa) College and Carnegie Mellon University on March 3.

Moravian returns to Pennsylvania to begin a six-game home stand on March 16 with a doubleheader versus Ursinus College at Blue and Grey Field. The Hounds will also host Lebanon Valley College in a doubleheader on March 21 and Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a twinbill on March 25.

The Greyhounds begin the month of April on the road as the squad opens the 2023 Landmark Conference season at Elizabethtown College on April 1. The Blue and Grey return home on April 6 to host Franklin & Marshall College in a non-conference doubleheader before the squad heads to Susquehanna University for a conference doubleheader on April 8. Moravian hosts FDU-Florham on April 11 for a non-conference twinbill while the squad makes the short trip to face rival Muhlenberg College on April 13.

The Greyhounds will host The Catholic University of America in a Landmark Conference doubleheader on April 15 before heading out on the road for the final time with trips to Misericorida University on April 18 and The University of Scranton on April 22. Moravian finishes the year with another six-game home stand as the squad hosts Gwynedd Mercy on April 25, Juniata College on April 29 and Drew University on May 6 to close out the regular season.

The 2023 Landmark Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 12 at the highest seed, and the conference champion of the double elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the 2023 NCAA Division III Tournament.
