BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Freshman pitcher/outfielder Sarah DeStefano from the Moravian University softball team has been honored as this week's Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for her performance last week.

DeStefano was named as the Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 NCAA Division III Medford (Mass.) Softball Regional Tournament as she helped the Greyhounds win their sixth NCAA Regional title. DeStefano went 2-0 in the circle against No. 7 and host Tufts (Mass.) University, as she allowed one run on seven hits and four walks to go with eight strikeouts in 15 innings of work. At the plate during the four games the Hounds played, DeStefano had a pair of hits and two RBIs, and she also posted a putout and five assists in six chances in the field.

The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
