Snyder Honored as Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week

Sage Snyder for Landmark Conference athlete of the week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore outfielder Sage Snyder has been honored as the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Snyder hit .778 during a 2-1 week for the Greyhounds as she was 7-for-9 with four runs, two doubles, two RBIs and a walk at the plate to go with two putouts in the field. Snyder was 1-for-2 with a run, a double, an RBI and a walk in a 7-5 loss to Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She then went 6-for-7 with three runs, a double and an RBI as the Greyhounds swept Elizabethtown College to begin the Landmark Conference season.

"Sage has had a great start to the season both offensively and defensi­vely," commented first-year Head Coach Josh Baltz. "She approaches each practice with the right mindset and puts in work each and every day! It is nice to see all of her hard work resulting in success on the field."

The Greyhounds, who are 12-5 overall and 2-0 in Landmark Conference action, are slated to return to the field on Thursday, April 6 in a non-conference doubleheader versus Franklin & Marshall College beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field in Bethlehem.
