TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore pitcher Madi Cunningham has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Cunningham, who received the honor for the third time this spring, had a 2-0 week in the circle to help Moravian to a 3-1 week as the Greyhounds clinched the top seed in the 2023 Landmark Conference Tournament. Cunningham posted a 0.78 ERA with nine strikeouts and just one walk allowed in 18 innings of action. She earned the win in Moravian's 5-0 shutout win over Juniata, and Cunningham tossed all 11 innings and recorded eight strikeouts in a 6-5, 11-inning victory over Drew to clinch the top seed.

"Madi has been tremendous in the circle all season, and she has been a key to us clinching the top seed to host the conference tournament this weekend," stated first-year Head Coach Josh Baltz. "Madi gives us a chance to win every time she steps into the circle, and she competes every pitch of every inning. We are looking forward to her continuing her outstanding year as we head into the postseason on Friday."

Moravian, which is 29-8 overall and finished the Landmark Conference regular season at 10-2, will host fourth seed The University of Scranton in the opening game of the 2023 Landmark Conference Tournament on Friday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
