Sullivan Named Landmark Softball Pitcher of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Freshman Lindsay Sullivan of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Sullivan picked up her first collegiate victory Sunday afternoon at Blue & Grey Field with a perfect game versus the College of Staten Island in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader. Sullivan faced the minimum 15 batters in the 8-0 Moravian win and she recorded two strikeouts.

Sullivan saw action in three of 20th–ranked Moravian's four games last week, starting two contests at first base in addition to her turn in the circle. At the plate, Sullivan hit .500 (four-for-eight) with three runs and a pair of RBIs. She also recorded 12 putouts in the field.

Moravian, which is 11-3 overall and 1-1 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 26th when the team hosts Albright College for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
