Seven Softball Players Among National Leaders in Latest NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Seven members of the Moravian College softball team are ranked nationally in the fifth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in seven statistical categories as well including being in the top ten in the country in three categories.

Sophomore outfielder Jenn Dalickas is ranked in three categories to lead the Greyhounds. Dalickas is tied for 44th in doubles per game with 0.38, tied for 55th in batting average at .462 and 59th in slugging percentage at .746.

Sophomore outfielder Dior George is 22nd in the country in runs per game at 1.31, and she is tied for 44th in doubles per game at 0.38.

Junior catcher Cassie Ernst is second in the nation in hit by pitch per game at 0.62 as she has been hit 17 times this season, and Ernst is 16th in on-base percentage at .578. Junior outfielder Miranda Sergas is tied for 22nd in the country in sacrifice hits per game at 0.40.

Senior pitcher Alyssa Fegely is tied for ninth in shutouts with five while junior pitcher Elizabeth Tillou is tied for eighth in saves with two. Freshman pitcher Lindsay Sullivan is tied for 47th in shutouts with three.

As a team, the Greyhounds are third in fielding percentage at .974, sixth in batting average at .375, sixth in doubles per game at 2.15, tied for 35th in triples per game at 0.42, 31st in slugging percentage at .511, 42nd in scoring at 6.81 runs per contest and 41st in winning percentage at .769.

Moravian, currently 22-6 overall and 2-2 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to action on Thursday, April 11th when the Greyhounds host rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
