Softball Ranked 8th in East Region in NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College softball team is ranked eighth in the East Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the 2013 season released this week. 

The Greyhounds are 26-8 overall and now 23-6 in-region, one of the main criteria's for the ranking.  Montclair State University is ranked first in the region and is followed by The College of New Jersey, Rowan University, Penn State-Berks, Alvernia University, Susquehanna University, Lebanon Valley College and Moravian rounds out the top eight in the regional poll.  The complete rankings can be seen at http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/softball/d3/regional_rankings.

Moravian split a doubleheader with Susquehanna and won a game versus Lebanon Valley in Florida.  Moravian dropped games in Florida on Spring Break to Coe (Iowa) College, ranked seventh in the Midwest Region and John Carroll (Ohio) University, which is second in the Central Region.

Moravian returns to the field on Thursday, April 18 in non-conference doubleheader at Ramapo College of New Jersey beginning at 3:30 p.m.
