Five Softball Players in This Week's NCAA DIII Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Five members of the Moravian College softball team are ranked nationally in the third NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in seven statistical categories as well including being in the top ten in the country in four categories.

Junior catcher Cassie Ernst is ranked in three categories. Ernst is third in the nation in hit by pitch per game at 0.71, tied for 46th in triples with and tied for 65th in runs per game at 1.07.

Sophomore outfielder Dior George is 11th in the country in runs per game at 1.43, and she is tied for 46th with two.

Junior outfielder Miranda Sergas is 17th in the country in sacrifice hits per game at 0.54.

Senior pitcher Alyssa Fegely is tied for 17th in shutouts with three while junior pitcher Elizabeth Tillou is tied for sixth in saves with two.

As a team, the Greyhounds are seventh in fielding percentage at .977, eighth in batting average at .374, ninth in doubles per game at 2.29, tied for tenth in the nation in triples per game at 0.64, 18th in slugging percentage at .529, 47th in scoring at 6.93 runs per contest and tied for 44th in winning percentage at .786.

Moravian, currently 13-3 overall and 1-1 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to action on Friday, March 29th when the Greyhounds travel to Ursinus College for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Collegeville.
