Eight Softball Players in This Week's NCAA DIII Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Eight members of the Moravian College softball team are ranked nationally in the sixth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in seven statistical categories as well including being in the top ten in the country in three categories.

Sophomore outfielder Jenn Dalickas is ranked in four categories to lead the Greyhounds. Dalickas is 37th in the nation in batting average a .479, and she is tied for 30th in doubles per game with 0.44, 60th in slugging percentage at .760 and tied for 97th in on-base percentage at .510.

Junior catcher Cassie Ernst leads NCAA Division III in hit by pitch per game at 0.66 as she has been hit 24 times this season, and Ernst is 15th in on-base percentage at .582 and tied for 82nd in sacrifice flies with two as is senior first baseman Amanda Dizinno, who is also tied for 47th in toughest to strikeout with one strikeout every 37.5 at-bats.

Sophomore outfielder Dior George is 19th in the country in runs per game at 1.34, and she is tied for 52nd in doubles per game at 0.38. Junior outfielder Miranda Sergas is tied for 18th in the country in sacrifice hits per game at 0.42.

Senior pitcher Alyssa Fegely is tied fifth ninth in shutouts with seven while freshman pitcher Lindsay Sullivan is tied for 70th in shutouts with three. Both Fegely and Sullivan are tied for 98th in victories with nine. Junior pitcher Elizabeth Tillou is tied for sixth the country in saves with three.

As a team, the Greyhounds are second in batting average at .384, fifth in fielding percentage at .974, ninth in doubles per game at 2.13, 21st in slugging percentage at .519, 23rd in scoring at 7.19 runs per contest, 23rd in winning percentage at .813 and tied for 50th in triples per game at 0.38.

Moravian, currently 26-8 overall and 4-2 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to action on Thursday, April 18th when the Greyhounds travel to Ramapo College of New Jersey in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m.
